Introduzione

Lo strumento di controllo della geometria consente di verificare se si dispone di un solido valido

Utilizzo

Lo strumento è disponibile nel menu dell'ambiente Parte o con il pulsante nella barra degli strumenti booleani. Selezionare una parte (attenzione, per verificare la validità di un solido selezionare tutta la parte e non una sola faccia) quindi avviare lo strumento. I risultati dell controllo sono visibili nel pannello Azioni.

Attivare il controllo BOP

Se si desidera attivare i controlli BOP aggiuntivi (BOP= Boolean OPerations) basta seguire questi passaggi: Strumenti > Modifica parametri > Preferenze > Mod > Part > CheckGeometry quindi nel riquadro di destra fare doppio clic sotto Valore per il parametro RunBOPCheck e impostarlo true poi cliccare su "Salva su disco", chiudere e riavviare.

Se il parametro o la cartella non esistono, è possibile crearli con:

scegliere "Strumenti > Modifica parametri ..." dal menu principale
espandere il gruppo "Preferenze"
espandere il gruppo "Mod"
espandere il gruppo "Part"
cliccare con il destro e scegliere "Add sub-group"
nome del sub-group "CheckGeometry"
accertarsi che il sub-group "CheckGeometry", appena creato, sia selezionato e cliccare con il destro nel riquadro destro della finestra (vuoto) e scegliere "New Boolean Item"
dare al new boolean item il nome "RunBOPCheck" e accertarsi che sia impostato "true"

Run Check and interpret results

select in the tree view one or more objects you like to check
click on
you will get a report on the left side of the screen showing the result of the scan
if your scan turned up errors you may click in the report window on a specific error message and the corresponding geometric object (edge/face ...) will be highlighted in the 3D view
at the moment FreeCAD has no automatic repair methods for solids, so you need to look at the steps used in FreeCAD to model this specific geometry and try to fix the error yourself
