Introduction

Remove components by manually selecting them in 3D-view.

This is useful, for example, if you have a mesh with two components, and you want to extract a single component to convert it to a solid, as in the case below where a cube houses another cube.

On the left the original mesh with two components. The red cube is selected for removal. On the right the remaining component.

Usage

  1. Choose Meshes Remove components by hand... from the top menu.
  2. Select component(s) in the 3D-view. Selected components are shown in red.

Right-click in the 3D-view will give you the possibility to

  • Leave removal mode
  • Delete selected faces
  • Clear selected faces
