Description
Snaps on an imaginary line that is parallel to another line segment.
Snapping the second point of a line so that it is parallel to another line
How to use
- Make sure File:Snap Lock.svg Draft ToggleSnap and File:Snap Parallel.svg Snap Parallel are turned on.
- Choose Draft Line to draw a shape. Enter the first point.
- Hover the cursor over the line segment that you wish to use as reference.
- Move the cursor away, trying to keep the same slope as the reference line, until the snap symbol appears.
- Click to attach your new point.
Works also with Draft Move and Draft Rotate
Notes
Snap mode can be used with
- sketcher elements (lines, arcs)
- draft elements (DWires, Lines, Arcs)
Clicking on the snap-mode icon will toggle the snap mode on/off.
