Description

This method snaps to the endpoints of lines or edges of elements.

Snapping the second point of a line to the endpoint of an edge of a rectangle

How to use

  1. Make sure File:Snap Lock.svg Draft ToggleSnap and File:Snap Endpoint.svg Snap Endpoint are turned on.
  2. Choose a Draft tool to draw a shape.
  3. Move the cursor over a line segment or edge of another object to select one of the endpoints.
  4. Click to attach your new point.

Notes

The cursor will select the closest endpoint to it.

This method can be used with Draft and Sketcher Workbench elements like lines, arcs, and bezier curves, as well as edges of shapes and solids.
