#Make sure snap mode is turned on
#Choose element (for example draft line) to be inserted into the FreeCAD-document
#Move cursor near draft dimension of the element you wish to attach your element to
#below on the right side of the cursor the symbol of the snap mode will appear
#click to attach your element to the selected line of the draft dimension of the target element

Description

This snap mode shows temporary X and Y dimensions between the current point and the last snapped point on screen while snapping

After having snapped a first point, temporary dimensions locate the second point being snapped

Usage

  1. Make sure File:Snap Lock.svg Draft ToggleSnap and File:Snap Dimensions.svg Snap Dimensions are turned on.
  2. Choose a Draft tool to draw a shape.
  3. Click a first point

Limitations

  • Currently only work in the XY plane
