Description

The Quick move command moves a pre-selected object to the cursor position and keeps it sticking to the cursor until one of the mouse buttons is pressed.

Usage

(One object must be pre-selected)

  1. Activate the Quick move command using one of the following:
    • The Quick move button.
    • The Assembly3 → Quick move menu option.
    • The keyboard shortcut: A then Q.
  2. Drag the Object to a desired position.
  3. Press one of the mouse buttons to finish the task.

The result is depending on the chosen mouse button:

  • LMB: Fixes the object at the current position.
  • RMB: Cancels the command and moves the object back to its original position.
  • MMB: The object moves back to its original position and the whole view content is moved following the vector from the cursor position to the center of the 3D window.
