Std About opens a window that shows information about the program. Whenever you need help with the program, you must provide this information.
Window with the "About" information in the software. Do not take a picture of this window; click the "Copy to clipboard" button to be able to paste the information with any help request.
- Open the menu About FreeCAD. →
- Select one of the tabs, About, Credits, License, Libraries.
- To get troubleshooting information press , then paste this information.
- Press , or hit the key to exit the dialog.
Shows information on the FreeCAD version used, revision number, operating system, and some details about the supporting libraries, Python, Qt, Coin, and OCCT.
When requesting help on the FreeCAD forums, or filing bug reports, it is imperative to provide this information.
To get troubleshooting information press, then paste this information where it is needed.
